Integrated Management System (IMS)
What is an IMS?
An Integrated Management System is a system that enables your company to integrate common management systems. Management system standards are all designed to improve the way businesses are run and many now have a similar structure allowing for their seamless integration.
Common elements can be easily identified and requirements that are specific to a particular management system e.g. ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 etc. can be separated and controlled individually. Some common requirements include auditing procedures, document control, resource management, risk management and improving performance.
How does it work?
We will review your current management systems and carry out a desktop review to determine how long it will take to carry out the process of integration. The service will include a site visit as well as administration days to write up your systems manual and amend any supporting documentation.
If you already have a management system in place and want to integrate another system from scratch the process works in exactly the same way. We will begin by carrying out a desktop review of your current system in order to determine how much time it will take to integrate the additional requirements.
What are the benefits?
- Work with the common requirements of multiple management system standards/specifications to help provide a simple, integrated management system tool.
- Helps integrate two or more management systems into one cohesive system with a holistic set of documentation, policies, procedures and processes.
- Alignment with the new high level structure and common text for management systems laid out in Annex SL will ensure that users are familiar with the common structure and terminology implemented for all new management systems standards.
