ISO 9001 Case Study
Quality Management Systems
Fraser and Fraser are a team of leading genealogists and international probate researchers. They may be better known as BBC One’s television programme Heir Hunters. Fraser and Fraser assist the legal profession and local authorities in tracing heirs to unclaimed estates, dormant funds and derelict properties.
Since formation in 1923, Fraser and Fraser have solved over 20,000 cases and are committed to delivering professional and cost effective results. Fraser and Fraser are a third generation family run organisation based in central London with a global presence through Partnerships.
Due to the competitive nature of the industry it is essential that the teams of Case Managers, Case Assistants and Researchers act with speed and precision when taking on cases, hence a “well oiled” system of processes is essential in order for them to operate effectively and professionally. Each case is unique and the client requests can be diverse, as indeed can the clients themselves; so a good understanding of requirements is needed to ensure commitment and clarity is provided at all times.
Fraser and Fraser contacted us with a requirement for ISO 9001 and 27001 Certification of their current systems with some assistance required to meet the requirements of the Standards. We were one of a few applicants to tender for the provision of certification services and we presented our service as one of professionalism and focus to the needs of Fraser and Fraser. We understood that our role would be one of mentor as well as Certification Body and our proposal and correspondence was presented as such.
Fraser and Fraser embraced the Certification process and used it as a positive means by which they could improve the systems they have in place and ensure that their data is held with the utmost security and confidentiality. It was a pleasure working with Fraser and Fraser and we are pleased to have assisted such a well-known and established organisation and look forward to working together in the future.
